For the Artist at the Start of the Day (or year!)

Namaste Jharna, Bhedetar

Greetings from Covid central. We shared more than goodwill at Christmas in our family. I wanted to write out a beautiful blessing for you all but formatting it is proving beyond me at this point in my recovery, so I am just posting the link and some photos from various Nepal trips!

(Namaste Jharna, Bhedetar, Sunsari, Nepal)

This blessing is one of the many beautiful ones by John O’Donohue in his lovely book To Bless the Space Between Us. I am using this more and more in the practice of cultivating compassion! The other book I started to read at my sister-in-law’s place in Sydney and have now ordered for myself is Charlotte Woods’ The Luminous Solution. A cracker. I adored Stone Yard Devotional too.

When I have more energy I might write about my word of the year. For the first time in two decades I have chosen one rather than selected one at random. (But do let me know if you’d like me to select one at random for you from my assortment of cloud words!) My word is Cultivate. Bit more of that later. For know, here’s the blessing….
